Newham Council's Social Regeneration Unit (SRU) co-ordinates a number of financial exclusion projects, working in partnership with a wide range of partners, to deliver a multi-stranded programme of services aimed at enhancing the economic regeneration of the Borough and assisting the social inclusion of local communities.

We have just completed our £3 million programme supported by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund which ended in June 2006. From June we have been granted a further £1.6 million from the NRF programme called Improving Incomes – Changing Lives.
